Maxo Kream's "Still" features a recording from his own father, locked behind bars.

ChaseTheMoney's beats are repetitious in nature, and he wouldn't have it any other way. The STL-bred producer found his niche working out a "desolate sound" for his rappers in residency. The aesthetic works on its own merit, tantamount to a 50/50 share of responsibility. On Maxo Kream's new single "Still," the division of labor is never more apparent.

ChaseTheMoney gives Maxo a flat surface to conjure up his narco-stories. You'll notice Maxo Kream doesn't finick with the instrumental too much. After the insertion of a prophetic vocal sample in the first 20 seconds, Maxo simply goes bananas on the beat start to finish, with a care in the world for a sing-a-long chorus.

For added context, the vocal sample included in the recording belongs to Maxo Kream's own father. Empathy is at the root of the discussion here. Maxo's father speaks of karma to begin the proceedings and ends on a more personal note. Maxo's father has been locked up for much of his son's adult life. Check out "Still" and hit us with your thoughts in the comment section below the write-up.

Quotable Lyrics:

Double-decker doors and sold out shows
Still bustdown 'bows and bustdown hoes
Still settin' up traps and lendin' out packs
Still hearin' choppers, MACs, and .45 gats
Gettin' paid off raps but still tote straps.
